PRO: good price, solar-powered, many lighting modes, warm light color is perfect (not fluorescent blue!), solar panel can pivot on a stake (for best sun capture). Stake is removable, if you'd rather affix the panel to something vs install in the ground.CON: delicate wires (be careful not to bend them too much), no remote (if that matters).TBD: Will the wire strands (which are uncoated) rust? How long will the rechargeable battery last (incl w/unit)?I used this to create a garden decoration (see pictures). When uncoiling wires, BE GENTLE. Rough handling or too much bending will break the wires. Solar panel has coated wire that attaches to a 4" tube from which all the 11 LED wire strands emerge. The tube has a hole on the end that allows you easily hang it from something. Wire strands do not appear to be coated but will still be waterproof (as the LEDs have a blob of silicone over them). Solar panel has thin strip across middle to sense light. When it's dark (or you cover the panel), the lights will automatically turn on. 2 buttons on underside of the solar panel (on/off & mode). Unit must be ON in order to charge (and obviously to light up). My unit had a little charge when it arrived, so I could cover solar panel/light sensor & the lights turned on... then I pressed the mode button until I got the desired light mode (twinkle, flashing, full on, etc).ABOUT THE DECORATION: I used a plastic watering jug in an earthy color that complimented the tan house (was inexpensive & won't rust!). Detached spout & drilled larger holes (9/32 drill bit?) for each of the wire strands. Drilled 2 holes on jug (near base of handle) & zip tied the tube through the holes. Cluster of wire strands fed through neck of jug. Straightened 6" end of each strand to make them easier to feed through the larger spout holes. Hung the jug on a shepherd's hook & zip tied on hook to prevent wind from jostling jug. Carefully zip tied the coated wire (from the tube to the solar panel) along the shepherd's hook so it was unnoticeable. Made sure there was a little slack in the wire where it attached to the solar panel. Made sure panel is ON. Had several rainy days after installing, and the unit worked great. Will update if I run into any problems.Love the lights, wish they were single strands but got them to work and they are great lookingI absolutely love these lights! I bought these to dress up my front yard for The summer months !But they are perfect for any occasion. the Stands are flexible And easy to work with.Versatile and effortless. The lighting they give off is just absolutely gorgeous beyond words! Warm and invitingWith a good days worth of sunlight they stay fully charged for about 6 hours of use .. pretty impressive for just these tiny little solar panels..they shine bright. very dainty and sooo pretty!I Have decided to leave them up all year long!!Worth the price!! Highly recommended. These curtain lights are absolutely beautiful very easy to unwind solar box is a good size and sellers are very professional if you have a problem they get right back to you you need it later and hope you handle problems no battery is no goodSo I bought a set of these at the beginning of the summer to use on my front porch it’s great because it needs no electricity it’s solar operated and it lasts a really long time at night. When decorating for the holidays this year I decided I wanted to have some lights twinkle down a large mirror I have behind my buffet in my dining room and these were perfect and fit the bill you just have to make sure they can get enough light time during the day if you want to use them for indoor decorating. Added bonus is there’s several settings so you can have steady lights or twinkling or flashing lights. These are definitely well worth the moneyThese were cheap and I didn’t expect much but, it was very pretty after we got it to sit proper around my mother’s outdoor altar/flowerbed. I feel like I might need another to make the display look “fuller” in the dark. Not sure if there were already batteries in there or if it was the solar doing it’s job. They work and light up in several different modes. Would have loved a steaming waterfall mode but, it works!I have them indoors with the little solar panel facing a sunny window (in California). They are wonderful.
