I thought thicker would be better. Thicker is heavier and slightly more difficult to place in the pool and remove.It didn't last any longer nor keep the pool warmer than the Blue covers I purchase every 2 seasons. I'm reordering the cheaper Blue cover.Purchased this solar cover July 2019. Stored indoors during winter. Placed on pool May 2020. After only 4 months of use, cover began to fall apart. Had to remove it and use our 3 season old blue liner. Comtacted company, have not contacted us. So much for 2 year warranty.I must say so far I've been very impressed with this product for the money. I chopped it into 4 pieces for easier operation. I've had to remove it for now as the pool was getting so hot. This is Texas mind, not sure how it does in the more northerly climes.great cover, had a thicker and more expensive one last season, they dont last so why spent the extra money. this one has raised the temperture just as well.Terrible cover... started disintegrating on the 2nd season.. solar bubbles are coming off and plugging the filter...Absolutely the worst solar blanket I've purchased. Came rectangular and had to cut oval, had holes in it out of the box, permanent wrinkles that didn't ever come out.Heavy duty kept the pool so warm was greatNice and thick. Love it. Looks better than blue ones too.
