This is the 2nd one of these I have had. Most solar covers only last 2-3 years in my experience no matter how much you pay for them. So I replace them every couple of years. I like this cover and the price point.If I can have only one complaint .......... and this goes for every solar cover I have ever bought .......... why do they always fold and package it so when placed on the pool and unrolled and unfolded, it comes out upside down. This is a 28 foot cover and it is a bear to flip it on the pool. I do not have enough clear space around the pool to lay out and flip before putting it on the pool. It could all be avoided if the mfg would just fold it opposite of what they do.Lightweight cover. Heats up my pool as well as the more expensive ones. I have had a pool for the past 40 years, and I have found that most covers last just three years, no matter what the cost. I have tried the most expensive and the cheapest. This cover does a great job for the cost of it.Update I had my pool open until October 21st and my last time in the water was October 20th, and I live in CT near RI.I just opened my pool 10 days ago and I am putting this on soon. it not only keeps the water temperature constant but also keeps the water clean.I started using this cover 10 days ago and the water in my pool is constant warm. It is bulky and heavy, but worthy, when I put the cover in the evening the water is hotter than outside, so the blanket keeps the water warm all through the night. I don't know how you can have anything thicker than this one. It's great.This solar cover heated my pool in no time and fits my 24' round pool. It's a little long in some spots, in those areas, I lay it flush up the side to the top of the pool. that helps to keep stuff out of the pool. The is easy for me to roll up on my own and, move to the edge of the pool while I am cleaning or floating.Good condition, quality solar pool cover, seems nicer than a previous one I had. I think that is also why it is a little heavier, so it takes a little bit of work to put on and take off, but if my kids work together they can take it off without my help, so that is still good. The pool is definitely warmer and retaining its temperature since starting to use this, very pleased.Where to begin! We live in a wind tunnel and have had multiple covers on our pool! This one stayed down when I followed instructions!!! It really heated the pool too! Highly recommend! Ps read the instructions! Don’t take off and put in the sun! Set in the shade! I did a test with a piece I cut off and it really needs shade!This is a very nice, thick solar cover with a generous warranty (1yr full, prorated 2nd and 3rd years). This cover feels over twice as thick as the best-selling Intex version.Though I've never had a cover last over 1.5 swim seasons—and don't truly expect this one to, either—the price is so low that it's an annual investment I'm willing to make. And for $18, I'm not going to bother with a warranty, though the simple act of Harris including such a generous one speaks volumes for the company and/or product.Update: Initially, we liked it. The size was good for a 15' inflatable pool. However, it started to sink terribly, which rendered it useless rather quickly. We were disappointed and the hunt continues.-------I first purchased the Intex brand 15' cover for our Intex 15' x 48" inflatable pool. First, the 15' cover was WAY too wide as the inflatable pool curves inward at the top. I had to trim the cover significantly for it to be practical. You can easily trim these covers, but you will have unfinished edges at the sewn seams, which may eventually pull apart. It was also very thin (5mm). It did, however, keep the pool a LOT warmer than having no cover. The biggest drawback was that it started to disintegrate after two months, leaving thousands of round blue pieces floating in the pool (like someone had emptied a large hole-punch), and it began to rip open in the middle.So, we are trying this 12' Harris 8mm cover. The width is perfect. The extra thickness feels much more sturdy than the Intex cover and it seems to be keeping the pool at least as warm. I will update its durability in time. We chose the 8mm over the 12mm because of the reviews, the price, and we thought the lighter 8mm would be easier to remove and replace often. So far, we are very pleased.
