I bought these flamingos when I was searching for decor for my son’s birthday sleepover pool party. In the spring, I had asked my son if he cared what the print was on his swimsuit (he outgrew his old one). He gave me the typical teenage ‘whatever!’ answer and I took that as a challenge to find him the most ridiculous suit I could find. Flamingos!!! So when planning his party a few weeks later, I came up with the Flamingoed at 14 theme. Thus this glow in the dark flamingo purchase.I didn’t know what to expect when I first opened the box. They don’t look like much from the get go. However, once you inflate them, they really look cute! They’re larger than I expected, but the perfect size in comparison to our 24’ round pool. The weighted bottoms of the flamingos didn’t feel like they would be enough to keep the flamingos from blowing out of the pool (our backyard feels like a wind tunnel sometimes), but those pink little guys have stayed put in the water the entire summer. We’ve had some crazy storms this season, but not enough to cause the pink birdies to take flight.I’m also impressed by the brightness of the flamingos. You can see them from quite a distance. The light travels all the way up through the little guys’ heads so it’s obvious what they are when all lit up at night. I’ve had them in the pool for 5-6 weeks now and their light is not dimming at all.The floating flamingos add a touch of whimsy to our backyard. I enjoy watching them bob around. The pair are always near each other and add a little tropical flare to our backyard oasis. These are immediately funny to see gliding through the water both day and night. They are just the right size and color to catch your eye. The glow at night is very entertaining. I wish I had purchased them earlier in the pool season.Received almost 2 months ago and they have been in my pool ever since. They were easy to inflate. I didn’t even have to bring out my air compressor. They are adorable floating around during the day but at night…that is when they are awesome. I look out into the pool and they are lite up and floating. The best part is they seem to always be floating together as if mates. I love flamingo’s and have many (a lot) various type and sizes around my home and yard but these two are my very favorite. Definitely got my money’s worth with them. These are so cute and work as expected, as soon as it starts to get dark out they light up. They are out all day and so far they still look and work great.Every year two ducks would come and swim in my built in pool. Needed a deterrent and thought I’d try these and they work!!! No ducks this year as they must be thinking others have taken over their territory. Lol… then they light up at night too which is an added benefit! These are so cute and last really well. Light up great at night. These are exactly as advertised. I gave them as a gift to a person with a backyard pool and they are stunning in the evening. So many compliments on these Flamingos! Bright and beautiful! Love!bought for our pool..so many compliments and a few friends have since purchased for their pools....makes the pool at night so serene...one note, u will find one goes on first, then second one flickers and then finally comes on..thought at first a defect but all 3 friends that purchased said theres does the same....so all goodUnderstand why there are 2 in a package. Only 1 worksWill return if not honored by sellerLove these floating around day and night. Just add the air and your done, leave them out in the sun for 8 hours or it takes a couple days to light, but after that they light all night long. They are too cute! The one that does stay inflated is cute but the second one doesn't so I paid 50 dollars for one cause the other won't stay inflated
