I run about 10 trail cams during hunting season and have been looking for a reasonably priced solar battery bank for my cams. This battery bank/solar panel does exactly what I want.Pros: It runs 6 volt cams/devices. Does not run 12 volt. I run CamPark, Bushnell, and Cabelas trail cams that all run 6 volt. It is on and charging all of the time (there is not an on/off button) as long as it is out in the sun. I also initially charged it using regular household power but will keep it charged when I put it in the the field. It comes with 2 power cords: 1 for charging via USB and household power, and 1 for connecting it to a trail cam when installed in the field/woods. The price I paid was reasonable ($35.00). There are 2 mounting screw-in holes on the back for a tripod or mounting bolt. That's very handy! Also, there is a slot on the back of the unit for using the included strap to attach to a tree. It is simple and basic and DOES THE JOB.Cons: For me, the mounting hardware is not useful. It is designed for permanent installation. Since I move my cams around, the mounting hardware is not a fit.Neutrals: The product description says the product will work for 3-5 years. That is a pretty short life span, but for $35.00 it is kind of a toss-up.I am going to test mine for the next month to make sure it lasts through the break-in period. I will return it if it stops working within the Amazon return period. It it doesn't give me any trouble, I plan on buying several more. I'll update this review if I have any issues.Bottom line: I recommend it.Much easier than building a solar panel system, just plug and play. Will buy more if this one holds up well this deer season. My bad not doing my homework. These are 6V units and therefore cannot be used for most standard 12V game cameras, therefore the power connections are also not compatible.Nice solar panel. Well worth the it.We purchased these to be able to see who is dumping in our dumpsters. It does capture the pictures and videos, but it is very slow connecting and in clearing the SD card. The videos I cannot watch on my phone. I would recommend this camera but just realize it does take time to review the pictures and to download or delete.Worked well with my trail cam. I don't have any complaints.Picked this up to have a self sufficient camera running and it does the job perfectly!Works fantastic with the jvaxs trail camera!
