I'm using these fairy string lights on Forrest, my tree-for-all-seasons, since changing the batteries for my closeup photo's 2 strings killed those originals' ability to work. This copper wire light string was easy to put on & fortunately needs just 3 AA batteries. It's battery case & the remote control appear to be identical to several other light strings I'm using in small lamps I've made, so I imagine your experience would be the same.Since Forrest with his base is just 20-inches tall I gambled, risking the lights' 16.4-foot length would not be too much since the originals totaled just 12. But it looks even better & the light string's end—where it meets the battery case—is well-hidden under Forrest's tree skirt. As we're approaching Valentine's Day—for which Forrest is decorated with red hearts & a needle felted wool angel holding a red heart—the lights, which are glowing courtesy of rechargeable eneloop batteries, have been on every night since their December arrival, still brightly glowing with no mishaps. I don't anticipate having any problem, but should one arise I'd likely purchase this warm white light string again & especially because it enabled me to put more lights at my angel tree topper.
