Purchased this solar cover for a friend and it lasted 4 seasons! Back in 2018 it was only $105... now it is $246, welcome to Biden's America.I have only been using this cover for a couple of weeks but it seems to be doing well keeping the heat in the pool. We have had a cold spell and the water temperature has not dropped much when we keep the cover on all but the times when we are swimming. The cover is not too heavy and doesn't make the roller sag too much when it is all rolled up. Because I have only been using it for a couple of weeks, I do not know how the durability is. It seems like from reviews of any solar covers, they tend to break down pretty quickly. At least the price is good and it does its job well. If I need to replace it every couple of seasons, at least I know it is worth the investment because it does what I want it to do.Even though we live in SoCal, our pool tends to get cool fast and using the heater gets expensive. We tried the blue colored covers but this clear one works way better in keeping the pool warm. During the summer if I leave the cover one for a few days the water temp gets really warm - a bit too warm for a refreshing swim but perfect for jumping in the pool during the evening. We tend to get 3 years out of these covers before the plastic on the bubbles start to come off and get in the pool. The cover is nice and thick and is much better and lasts longer than the ones you see at the big box stores.Make sure you buy a cover for while not in use or store in the shade. We have thousands of small round plastic pieces floating in our pool. I can only figure that when rolled up the heat and sun must get to it and they break off when unrolled. Maybe I should have known...but we never had a cover on our old blue one and it never did this.Highly recommend it certainly warmed the water the only drawback is removing it after it does its job, very heavy need 2 people to lay it out to dry and then roll it up and find a place to store it up until needed againHave had cover only a couple months and many bubbles are already popped. Cover barely stays above water. I only need it for evaporation right now, but come cooler weather, I have to replace it for the solar capabilities. This solar cover seems less thick than the others I have ordered. I also get the feeling that it doesn't float as well as the others I have had, there always seems to be a layer of water on top of much of it.This is on the pool now. It has warmed the water, but not up to the 15 degrees yet. I bought some vinyl to make a cover for this when it is wound up since I couldn't find one that was our pool's size.
