This Fountain has almost eliminated mosquitoes in my birdbath. It is also entertaining since the birds like to take a "shower" when bathing.I love the look and sound of it.Before purchasing, look at the dimensions to make sure this is the size you want. The diameter is about 5 inches. This size is better for things like bird baths. There are others that are selling for 7 or 8 inches in diameter; I think that's too wide for a bird bath (more for ponds); it'll end up covering most of the bird bath, so birds won't even have enough room.It advertises as having 7 settings. It comes with two nozzles, each nozzle has 3 settings, so that gives you 6 settings, the 7th settings comes from not attaching any nozzle. There's also a lever on the pump to adjust low flow to high flow.Solar fountains like this does not store any power, it converts sunlight directly into usable energy. So if you cover the solar cells, like shade or cloud cover, it will stop pumping until there is sunlight. As long as there is water and sunshine it is awesome!! Soothing sound of water in my garden and I love it!!Tried the suction cups to stop floating..nope do not stick. Tried turning down the spray. Still sprays out. Tried several ways to hold it in center not float. Empties bird bath outI didn't open the shipping package for about a month after it arrived. The solar pump instruction booklet says that a flashing red light means the battery is low. When I tried it out for the first time in my small pond, the red light flashed. Now, a month later, it doesn't operate at all. The return date was July 7th and I think that's about when I began to try it out in the pond. I would like to return it for a replacement, but can't find information on how to do that. J StroeveOne of the best fountains that I’ve had.Pump died immediately after placing the fountain. Don't waste your time and money.
