Description

This is a brilliant piece of work tracing the relationship between modern art, with a particular focus on the work of Vincent Van Gogh, and the history of the early 20th century. It does contain one inaccuracy, however: the Canadian athletes did not, in fact, give the Nazi salute during the opening ceremonies to the 1936 Olympics. I highly recommend this book for those with an interest in the relationship between art and history.
