The lights work perfectly and the length is very generous.Unfortunately, I have mine on a timer to light up outside and I want a specific mode every time the lights go on in the evening. And the mode I choose reverts back to the combination of all modes every night. If I want a specific mode I have to choose it every night. But it’s for my porch three and they are amazing I love themWe bought 20 strands of these to set up a holiday light display and they worked really well. You can daisy chain 5 of them and there is a removable extender that is about 6 feet long, so you can have them run one after the other or start 6 feet apart. The only issue we had was that the cable is very thin, making it hard to see, which is nice, but also making it so that it can snap if you trip on it. This happened to one of our strands, and it snapped at one of the bulbs, which doesn't seem repairable without a wiring diagram to know which wires to solder back where. The bulbs are non-replaceable, but seem like they are sealed really well, so we are hopeful that they last many years since they are LEDs. I can't comment on if the strand will continue to work if a single bulb goes out, but I am hopeful that it will. I will update this review if any of the strands stop working next year when we pull them out of storage. The bulbs don't seem to have any of that awful flicker that you see with a lot of cheaper LED lights and shows up on video really well. Our pre-lit tree decided to it was time to take a crap on us; so after hours of browsing and researching; we stumbled across these and decided to try them out. We bought the two strand pack which was the perfect amount to rewrap it. Once we were done decorating and turned them on; we were immediately in love. The slow in & out alternating fade is our favorite. The brightness is perfect. We’re so glad we decided to try these; our tree has never been more beautiful. Will definitely be purchasing more for next year!Lot of bang for the buck! I ordered a pack of the white and a pack the red lights, and they really look beautiful on our outdoor tree. No issues with water/ weather exposure eitherThe lights are blue white. They would be good if they had a slow or steady setting but they don’t. All of the setting flash manically. I had to unplug them.We used 4 strands for a 10 ft sustainable tree. The family enjoyed different modes (blinking) at different times of day and night. The lights can be ultra bright or dim and warm. Worth the price I expect to use for many years. Threw away all the other old strands!!!The good news is these are cheap ($.05/bulb) and robust; I've pulled the wire out of some bulbs and stapled thru the wire and the strings stay lit.The bad news is some controllers lack memory; when you supply power, they always start in combo mode. But some of them have memory and will start in whatever mode they were when powered off. I bought 46 strings and tested each controller. 16 have memory and 30 don't. But 16 is plenty for me cuz I connected at least 6 of each color together.BTW, they say don't connect more than 5 strings, but I've done 8 and they work fine.Update: Photo from mid-Feb. They've been on every night for 10 weeks with no failures. The only failed string was a different brand bought in a store.
