The lights are brighter than I thought they would be for the size of them. The remote is a bonus, and will work with more than one strand. The "warm white" lights are not blinding bright but is perfect out on my deck. Another bonus you can adjust the brightness on the remote and also has 8 different lighting modes. Didn't think I would like them after opening packaging, but got proven oh so wrong. Awesome buy for the priceUnless I overlooked something in the item title or description, these are not the traditional rope lights, which unfortunately is what I thought I was getting.They could definitely be brighter, as well.Bought these for my 11-yr old daughter's back yard playhouse I built. Threaded them through the rafters and it made such a cool, colorful lighting effect that she LOVES. Remote works great as well as the control battery box that's at one end of the light string, so you have either way to use the lights and change modes. We really liked the AA battery power format because this is an outdoor set that we don't have wired electricity running to. Very happy with purchase.This worked better than I'd expected! Used it to highlight the edge of my driveway and walkway to the house. Has remained fully functioning, coming on every night with built-in timer, still on original set of batteries two months later. Used a set of metal lawn spikes to mount in the dirt and worked perfectly!These lights are awesome. I decorated tree branches that were set in concrete and lined them up down each side of my granddaughters wedding isle. Looked ABSOLUTELY Beautiful. I received so many compliments. The timing feature is great too. The one remote worked for all my lights and that is a huge plus!!!Battery operated ones are just not as bright as electrical. It's nicely made and nice long length. I liked it because it was a rope light. The ones you get that have exposed LED with the adhesive tape don't last through a rain storm even though they say they are water proof. This definitely lasts but it's just not bright enough. I wanted to use it outdoors around the pool but it just looks like a set of Christmas lights. Doesn't cast off a big throw of light. It would be suitable for other purposes I would imagine indoors.used it to line the railing of the balcony. Looks goodPiece of garbage. The item I received looks nothing like the picture. Total rip off. Don't waste your money.A little dim but works well
