Ordered these as a replacement for a larger, single light I had purchased a few months ago. The previous light worked fine, but after a couple of months developed a leaking problem. I tried several remedies, drying it out and even painting the line where the two halves meet with waterproof paint after screwing them together tightly. Eventually even this method failed, the light leaked one time too many and the electronics failed.Now I know it's really tough to waterproof anything and I really can't blame the people who make these things for waterproof features of limited longevity. So I ordered these as a replacement. The first good news is that I got two lights instead of one for just a bit more than I originally paid for the single light.These each have the same number of LEDs as the first light I had and each seems as bright as the first one, which is great. I'm only lighting a small fountain so I'll just be using one at a time, bringing the second one into service when the first one finally gives out. Also, each remote controls both lights. Not only that, but I discovered that the remote for the first light I had, even though it is laid out differently, also works with these lights. That was a pleasant surprise.Anyway - about the hack. When even painting the joint seam with waterproof paint on the first light ultimately failed I wracked my brain trying to come up with a way to ensure a truly waterproof device. And it suddenly hit me - we have a vacuum food sealer that we use all the time to seal food and freeze it for future use. Why not try it on these lights? I ran a double seal on the first side of a sealing bag, slid one of the lights inside, activated the vacuum and sealed the other side three or four times. Voila! Now the light has its own seal and also the extra protection of being fully sealed in an airless bag! Whenever the batteries die, I'll just cut the bag open, replace the batteries and seal the light up again in a brand new bag. Hope you find this tip helpful - it should make these lights last much longer than they would if you rely solely on the waterproof qualities of the light as purchased.Battery life is great on led lights but the suction could be alot better!The timer feature uses all the battery life. Dead batteries after a couple days. Lights are bright and look good when it works, this is why I didn’t give 1 star. Debating on returning the product before the return window closes.Looks so lovely in my multi level fountain. Very small but bright! However the battery life could be better.I used it for my fish tank, great lighting. Battery life is a little short though.I would’ve given this a five star rating except that the stream light that they gave doesn’t work at all. The round light works great but they sent a defective string light.So many colors and options. Works great!The light is fine the reason for 1 star it is false advertising they show 4 lights and send one. They say one in print but I thought it was one set of lights. I feel I’m owed 3 more.These lights work great. We bought the four pack to try. Our pool is salt and has 24,000 Gallons (92,000 liters), these pictures show the 4 lights at a 3ft depth, along a 32ft long wall and that length is 7.5-8 ft deep. You can see they do a good job when white is selected. The other light colors work well but the dark red and blue don't. The color cycle options are fun for the kids.Once the lights are past a foot deep you have to stand over each one in order for the controller to work, at 3ft, you can't control them, its a little annoying but not a deal breaker, we usually turn them all on, out of the water, and then just place them in.We had no problems using only one remote to operate all 4 and we've used them a few times now and have had no issues with the waterproof seal. I make sure everytime, before using them, that they are tightened and I rinse them after each use. We don't leave them in as our robotic cleaner may not like them.....We ordered 4 more as we want to see how lit up we can get the pool, definitely a thrill for our kids.
