I loved these lights! Fully charged first day in full sun and lights lasted all night long. Motion detection is great - when I go out to walk the puppy, they brighten up the patio steps. However, who wants to shell out $30/ month to keep replacing these?! Return window was 30 days. So pissed right now. This product is awesome for small area. Sensitive, bright, and compact. Con is batteries could hold a longer charge. These lights do not stay on very long. Max around 3 hours. I bought another set thinking it was just bad luck, but the other set also SUK they do not stay on. The motion detection works fine. If only the lights lasted they would be a 5. Unfortunately, I had to give a 1Arrived in good condition. They stay working for about six hours which is typical for most solar-type lights (we have many on our property). We have them on the outside of our pool in full sun and they're still working. Good quality lights. These small solar powered LED motion sensor lights have a very low light output, they work well for lighting stair treads but don't expect much more. Easy to mount plastic case, hardware is included.I have these set up on my fence. The solar panel is aligned with the top of the fence to avoid any shadows.I live in the desert, so we have sunshine pretty much all day long. The motion detection is good, as they go from dim to bright long before I get close to them.I have noticed, though, that they just don't seem to hold a charge for very long. There are some nights I go out at about midnight (so 6 hours after sundown) and they won't light up at all.I think the mounting options they came with are adequate, but where I'm trying to place them required some creative attachments (not the fault of the light).Overall: I have other motion solar lights that are brighter and longer lasting that I would recommend over these. These were simple and easy to install. Seattle doesn't get much sun, so they don't work well (I am assuming its the sun and not the product itself) - will see in the summer. My main issue with this product is the the mechanism to turn this on/off. Its a hole and you put a pin in and you have no feedback if you are on or off. I just kept poking it now and again. Product is made in China and is a light plastic.Update:. The lights now wirk fine. I suspect it just took a bit to fully charge the battery. These are stylish and they look great. Like them... recommended.I suppose because I mounted these in the shade of the house. The solar area is good. Easy to install, though there was no template, but I figured it out. Used stainless steel round head screws (the light slides in on mounting spaces in the back). It's been overcast and rainy, maybe it will take a bit more light. The problem with these lights is they need a lot of sun to fully power up so they will last. As other reviewers noted, they din't stay on long. I think that's because they are un the shade due to the deck structure shading them.I ordered traditional lights that I mounted higher, and they work until midnight, or 1 am or so, plenty long. The manufacturer of these lights need to dim the lights so they just barely light, then go full brightness when they detect motion. As it is right now, the lights run at medium brightness constantly, which runs them down too quickly. That said, they are designed to look really nice.
